The Office of Admissions and Records provides support services and information for prospective and current students, alumni and University administration, and processes about 6,000 applicants, over 3,400 students, and over 1,000 graduates each year. Enrollment in the Undergraduate program increased 14% from 2022 to 2023 and is expected to increase approximately 7% each year for the next five years with the President's initiative. The Office of Admissions and Records is currently looking for a Transcript & Evaluation Credentials Specialist to provide support for evaluating and posting external transfer credit for the admissions and graduation processes for prospective students, applicants and current students. The person in this position will be the subject matter expert for all inquiries and issues involving transfer equivalencies.

Duties:

  • Evaluate transcripts to determine admissibility
  • Process transcript credit for current students needed for graduation and special requests
  • Process Prior Learning Credit
  • Update the transfer data base when changes to OU courses occur
  • Manage the database security and train new users
  • Update the database and student record when transfer course have been approved for an equivalent by departments
  • Assist with audit building for program degree audits 
  • Perform general office support duties
  • Perform various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position
 

Job Requirements

Required Education: High School Diploma or GED

    Skills:

    • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
    • Ability to accurately read and understand written materials and instructions
    • General office skills such as phone, copying, faxing, filing, and handling mail

    Advertised Physical Requirements:

    • Physical: Sit for long periods of time. Ability to engage in repetitive motions. May be required to bend, lift, stoop, and carry.
    • Environmental: Standard office environment. Regular pressure to meet productivity standards.
