SAFECAMPUS HAS AN OUTSTANDING OPPORTUNITY FOR A TRAINING SPECIALIST.

The Training Specialist position will have the opportunity to work with a team on the continued development, implementation, and evaluation of the Empowering Prevention and Inclusive Communities (EPIC) training program for the University of Washington UAW-4121 Academic Student Employees (ASEs) and Postdocs. The Training Specialist will facilitate training for ASEs and Postdocs and therefore support the wellbeing and safety of the University of Washington community. The training program includes information regarding sexual harassment, discrimination, intersectional power dynamics, bystander intervention strategies, response options, UW policies and procedures, and union rights.

The EPIC training program is jointly developed through a collaborative process with UAW-4121 and the University of Washington. This program is supervised by SafeCampus, the University of Washington’s Threat Assessment and Violence Prevention Program, and the position will report to the Prevention, Education, & Communications Manager in SafeCampus.

The Training Specialist is a 50% FTE position for all four quarters of the academic year. The position has the possibility of renewing for subsequent years. The Training Specialist position will primarily perform their duties Monday-Friday within SafeCampus’ standard business hours of 8 am-5 pm.
