Position Description

Advertised Job Summary

Training Assistant works as part of a team in support of delivery of training materials. This position works under the guidance of the trainers to perform all tasks relating to training preparation to include printing, purchasing, travel, and registration.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)

Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of work experience that is directly related to the area of employment, or high school diploma and 7 years work experience that is directly related to the area of employment; or equivalency.

Preferred Qualifications

USC experience in general office environment or related experience.


Knowledge of general office practice and procedure. Working knowledge of software programs such as Word, Excel, Access; ability to input and retrieve data and prepare reports; excellent customer service skills; familiarity of training support functions; attention to detail; ability to operate office machines such as scanners, fax, laminators, etc.; excellent ability to communicate verbally and in writing; excellent organizational skills; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external partners and customers.
