The Program Manager, under direction, plans, organizes, directs, and manages day-to-day activities, developing and implementing procedures for the administration of the TAMU Telehealth institute predoctoral internship.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field.

  • Five years of experience in program management/coordination.

Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, problem solving, and organizational skills.

  • Maintains attention to detail and utilizes sound judgment.

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of accreditation processes and requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Internship Program: Plans, organizes, directs and manages day-to-day activities, developing and implementing procedures for the administration of the internship program. Assists in developing strategic plans and goals to support the internship. Assists with the development and production of materials designed for the recruitment of interns. Organizes and schedules internship interview days. Assists with yearly budgetary and contract processes. Prepares vouchers, purchase orders and requisition and coordinate with accounting personnel and other support staff

  • Training and Development: Develops and conduct programs including leadership training, conferences, seminars, and workshops. Develops and plans team building activities for intern cohorts. May supervise program support staff and student assistants

  • Accreditation Support: Assists in the data collection and maintains intern outcome data needed for continued accreditation. Maintains and develops communications between internship partners by scheduling conference calls and meeting. Assist in the development of the self-study for accreditation. Organizes, schedules, and plans site visits, as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
