OPPORTUNITY
UW MEDICAL CENTER - MONTLAKE - REHAB MEDICINE has an outstanding opportunity for a part-time, MULTIPLE OPENINGS, (FTE 50%, 20 scheduled weekly hours/ hours per week), day shift, THERAPEUTIC RECREATOR 2.

WHAT WILL YOUR DAY LOOK LIKE?


  • The Therapeutic Recreator 2 (TR2) will provide therapeutic recreational services to inpatient rehabilitation patients with complex conditions or injuries.
  • Assess, plan, and implement treatment programs as referred by a physician. Perform complex assessments of patients in 8N Inpatient Rehab.
  • As part of an interdisciplinary team, organize and lead therapeutic recreational activities both inside and outside of the Medical Center.
  • Direct the work, train, and coordinate TR students/volunteers in TR procedures.
  • This individual will report to the Supervisor of the work group and the Nurse Manager of Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit.

  • WHAT’S NEEDED?
  • Graduation from an accredited Therapeutic Recreation Program
  • 18 months of professional therapeutic recreation experience OR equivalent education/experience.

  • LICENSE REQUIRED
    WA State license as Recreational Therapist
