Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit

Position Summary
INTERNAL ONLY: Internal Posting for Current UNC-Chapel Hill Permanent Employees, Time-Limited Employees, Temporary Employees (Directly Hired by UNC-Chapel Hill – Not Employed by a Third-Party Staffing Agency), University Temporary Services (UTS) Employees (Employed by UNC-Chapel Hill) and Layoff Priority Candidates of UNC-Chapel Hill. 
The primary purpose(s) of this position is to coordinate and oversee the test proctoring services of the office; ensuring students are given the appropriate accommodations under the ADA Amendments Act of 2008 and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. This position is the first contact by students and faculty regarding all test proctoring services and exam/test related questions. This position will also supervise part-time employees related to testing center operations.
This position serves in place of a faculty member when students with disabilities are taking tests outside of the classroom, with respect to implementation of exam/test procedures and expectations of compliance for the exam/test proctoring function.
This position is responsible for the handling and administration of classroom examinations with integrity and confidentiality on a daily basis and requiring a high level of reliability, judgement and discretion.
This position is required to be on-site full-time and will be required to work evenings and/or weekends on occasion, including but not limited to final exam periods, per the University’s academic calendar.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

* Must have the ability to use Excel and Word.
* Must have ability to perform data entry functions on a computer.
* Must have ability to maintain confidentiality when working with highly sensitive information.
* Must have strong attention to detail.
* Must have the ability to work on site and in person, as directed and up to full time.
* Competent in management of multiple tasks through effective prioritization.
* Capacity to address emergent needs while also managing short- and long-term projects / tasks.
* Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information in a discrete and appropriate manner.
* Understanding of the importance of customer focused and solution-oriented service to the campus community.
* Experience working as a part of a team and maintaining positive professional relationships.

*Must be able to maintain a calm and professional demeanor while dealing with students experiencing stress or distress.
*Must have prior experience working in disability services.

Campus Security Authority Responsibilities
This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority in accordance with the Clery Act. This position will be required to report Clery crimes to the Clery Compliance Manager and complete annual training about reporting responsibilities.
