Job Summary
Provide safe and reliable transportation through the operation of vans used for the Shuttle Services program. Services are provided from 5:15 am – 6:00 pm, Monday – Friday.
Temporary Employment Services (TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being: 
 
  • Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time
  • Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads 
  • Assistance with special projects
  • Seasonal work 
  • Emergencies

AU students are not eligible for TES. 
Essential Functions
  • Drive assigned van to transport passengers to different locations throughout campus and at designated by request stops in the city of Auburn.  
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • The successful candidate for this position are expected to possess excellent communications skills, be customer service oriented, energetic, proactive, have a positive attitude a strong work ethic, and dress in the appropriate attire.
  • Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, must take and pass the AU Defensive Driving Course, AU Van Safety Course, AU Golf Cart Safety Course and be available to work between the hours of operation.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of on-campus buildings.
  • Knowledge of streets both on and off-campus (but not beyond the city limits of Auburn.
