Job Summary
The Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center is excited to begin the search for anExecutive Support Specialist!This position is responsible for a variety of administrative support functions, coordination of meetings, special projects, and internal and external executive communications.
Temporary Employment Services (TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being:
  • Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time
  • Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads
  • Assistance with special projects
  • Seasonal work
  • Emergencies

Essential Functions
  • Compiles information and prepares reports and drafts original and routine correspondence.
  • Provides general and specialized administrative support.
  • Screens phone calls, visitors, and correspondence and forwards to appropriate office/department/individual.
  • Demonstrates exemplary customer service to internal and external constituencies.
  • Coordinates and maintains calendar and schedules and resolves scheduling conflicts.
  • Performs numerous administrative duties including, but not limited to travel expense vouchers and invoices, cash and bank deposits, time logs, work orders, supplies and staffing correspondence.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Level I - High school diploma or equivalent plus 4 years experience in administrative support services.
  • Level II – High school diploma or equivalent plus 6 years of relevant experience in administrative support services.
  • College degree may be used in lieu of experience
Desired Qualifications
  • Professional.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized person to perform administrative duties in fast paced office environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (intermediate to advanced) including Word, Excel and Outlook for keyboarding and data entry
