Job Summary
The Corporate Relations Coordinator builds meaningful connections with employers that supports opportunities for career exploration, competency development, experiential learning, and post-graduation employment. Coordinates and delivers a career readiness program for all Sciences and Mathematics students.
Temporary Employment Services (TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being:
  • Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time
  • Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads
  • Assistance with special projects
  • Seasonal work
  • Emergencies

Essential Functions
  • Develops and fosters relationships with the employer community (business, industrial, non-profit, and government) that increases and improves quality of opportunities for COSAM students to develop professional skills, integrate academic learning with work, and secure jobs and internships.
  • Collaborates regularly with COSAM Advancement and Advisory Boards to leverage and maximize shared relationships and leads for increased financial sponsorships and student recruiting opportunities. Includes one-on one relationship building with college relations/recruiter contacts, as well as other hiring sources; networking in the Auburn and extended community through chambers of commerce and professional associations, alumni associations/groups and other organizations, as well as planning, executing and hosting special on-campus programming and off-campus career events.
  • Leads coordination of all on-campus recruiting programs for COSAM Career Services, ensuring information pertaining to career fairs, interview schedules, calendars, deadlines, and special arrangements and events is communicated to students, employers, faculty, and staff. Organizes and sets the annual recruiting calendar, including all deadlines and processes. Schedules dates for employer information sessions, interviews, and fairs.
  • Assesses employer recruiting needs, quality of recruiting services provided and other employer related data management to improve the recruiting program and contribute to the strategic plan of COSAM.
  • Serves as chief liaison between COSAM and stakeholders such as Career Discovery and Success, college administrators, departmental internship/program coordinators, external employers and students to cultivate effective partnerships to deliver services to students.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Business Administration, Life Sciences, or related fields with no experience.
Desired Qualifications
· At least one year of experience creating and delivering career readiness programming.
· At least one year of experience fostering relationships with an employer community.
· Knowledgeable in Salesforce, Symplicity, or closely related career management platforms
