Tenure Track Faculty

Subject to availability of funding, the Mathematics Department expects one opening at the level of Tenure-Track Assistant Professor, with the possibility  a higher level position in exceptional cases. The department has a priority  in Discrete Mathematics, but will consider outstanding candidates in any field of Mathematics. Candidates must have a PhD and have a strong record of research accomplishments in pure or applied mathematics as well as effective teaching. The normal teaching load for research-active faculty is 2-1.

For the mathjobs application: the AMS Cover Sheet must be filled out completely. Make sure that you include the AMS Subject Classification number of your area(s) of specialization (2-digit codes). Applicants should submit:


A curriculum vitae (including a publication list)

A research statement (of up to about 5 pages)

a teaching statement.

Arrange for four letters of reference to be submitted, one of which evaluates teaching.
