Faculty Position in Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation 
The Department of Clinical Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University invites applications for a tenure track faculty position in the Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Section. Candidates must have a DVM or equivalent degree and be board certified by the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation. Preference will be given to applicants with research experience. Starting salary and rank will be commensurate with academic credentials and experience. 
The successful candidate will join 1 faculty member in the section (to make up a total of 2 faculty – 1 tenure track and 1 clinical track) and two licensed veterinary technicians comprising the section of SMR. The Section provides care for patients in the Cornell University Hospital for Animals, a tertiary care service and teaching facility with a diverse caseload and an established referral base. It is a great time to join our group, as we have all current treatment modalities, including shockwave, photo-biomodulation, underwater treadmill as well as a full suite of diagnostic services as well as a newly purchased ultrasound to perform musculoskeletal ultrasound, allowing the new faculty member to shape the future of clinical rehabilitation. Clinical service and teaching responsibilities within the didactic curriculum are distributed among faculty. Faculty participate in training professional students and rotating interns and residents, with two full-time SMR residents on service. Faculty members are expected to develop and sustain a research program. Independent research space is available, as well as the services of clinical trials coordinators and clinical trials core research technicians. Cornell is a world-class research institution with extensive research facilities and opportunities on campus for collaboration with basic scientists of all disciplines.
