Description

The University of Chicago’s Department of Molecular Genetics and Cell Biology (http://mgcb.bsd.uchicago.edu/ ) in the Biological Sciences Division seeks faculty in molecular genetics, molecular biology, cell biology, developmental biology, quantitative biology, and related fields, broadly defined. We welcome applicants whose research uses model systems (including plants, animals, microorganisms, and organoids) to address biological questions at molecular, cellular, and/or organismal scales. Rank and tenure status will be commensurate with qualifications, although we anticipate the tenure-track assistant professor level.

They will work with outstanding colleagues and graduate students associated with numerous degree-granting programs spanning the biological and physical sciences, and they will have additional opportunities to engage with our affiliates, Argonne National Laboratory and the Marine Biological Laboratory. Competitive research space and start-up funding will be available.
