Applicants are invited to apply for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level in the Department of Cell Biology. The Department of Cell Biology is one of nine departments in the Institute for Basic Biomedical Sciences (IBBS) at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Cell Biology faculty participate in the umbrella Biochemistry, Cellular and Molecular Biology Graduate Program, one of the foremost multidisciplinary graduate programs in the country. Faculty are also members of different centers within IBBS that draw from multiple departments to bring together individuals with shared research interests. The Department values collaborative, interdisciplinary exploration of cells in tissues, organs, and intact organisms. Qualifications:
We seek outstanding individuals who are addressing fundamental problems in cell biology or development, using genetic, molecular, biochemical, cellular, biophysical or integrative systems approaches. Candidates should have a PhD or MD, postdoctoral experience, and a strong publication record. The successful candidate is expected to develop an independent, exciting research program, to display a commitment to excellence in teaching by participating in graduate and medical student teaching, and to demonstrate a commitment to promoting a diverse and inclusive biomedical community.
