Job Description Summary

The Department of Natural and Applied Sciences (NAS) at Bentley University is accepting applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in applied psychology with a July 1st 2024 start date. The teacher-scholar model is central to the University's academic mission. Applicants should be both outstanding researchers and excellent teachers.

We seek a candidate who examines the psychology of work, broadly defined. We are particularly interested in candidates who investigate the future of work. We are looking for a colleague working in areas such as health and well-being, cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, the lifecycle of workers, organizational industrial psychology, forensic psychology, psychopharmacology, financial psychology, occupational health, or emerging technologies.  

NAS offers an undergraduate major and a minor in psychology. To contribute to these programs, we seek candidates prepared to teach a variety of courses related to the applicant’s areas of interest. This position adds to our existing departmental strengths in health, psychology, communication science, and sustainability.  

  

The University has several multidisciplinary centers including the Center for Health and Business , the Center for Integration of Science and Industry , and the Valente Center for Arts & Sciences which supports student research. NAS faculty are active participants in the life of the University and engage students outside the classroom through advising, attending campus events, and supervising student research projects. Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates should have completed a doctorate in Psychology or a closely related field.  ABD candidates should be on track to complete their Ph.D. degree by August 2024.
