Tenure Track Assistant Professor position in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology

The Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology (EEB) at UCLA is searching for a tenure track Assistant Professor that complements their research program with an outstanding commitment to equity and inclusion through research, mentorship, teaching, community engagement and/or service. Candidates in any area of ecology or evolutionary biology, broadly defined, will be considered. We particularly encourage applications from women, underrepresented minorities, and individuals with a commitment to mentoring underrepresented groups in the sciences. Necessary qualifications include a PhD degree in a relevant discipline and a strong background in quantitative methods. Evidence of sustained research productivity through journal publications is required. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an externally funded research program, and teach and mentor at both the undergraduate and graduate levels employing inclusive pedagogical approaches. We are especially interested in candidates that can complement existing departmental strengths in inclusive education, and develop courses that satisfy the UCLA undergraduate diversity requirement and/or courses that include topics of diversity, equity and inclusion and how they relate to the fields of ecology and evolutionary biology.
