Job Description

The Department of Human Factors and Behavioral Neurobiology at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach, FL invites applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professors in the Human Factors and Behavioral Neurobiology Department with emphasis in Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Immunology, Cell Biology or related Aerospace Physiology field. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to conduct a solid and vigorous research program that attracts external funding, complementing ongoing research in the department. Preference will be given to candidates whose research and teaching interests include but are not limited to bioengineering, bioinformatics, microbiology, immunology, and cell biology, as they relate to the aerospace industry.


Qualifications

A Ph.D. in Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Immunology, Cell Biology or related Aerospace Physiology field is required.  Additional academic background the field of engineering is strongly preferred.  Research experience in biomedical engineering, bioinformatics, immunology, cell biology, or closely related disciplines is required.  The candidate should show a record of research productivity, an ability to attract external funding, and a commitment to teaching graduate and undergraduate students and mentoring undergraduate and Masters level students in research.
