Tenure-Track Assistant Professor, Computational Data Science
The George Mason University, Department of Computational and Data Science (CDS) in the College of Science invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level.

Responsibilities:

Starting August 2022, the individual serving in this position will be responsible for supporting both the instructional, research, and service components of the department. The workload for this position follows the College’s workload policy including teaching, research, and service. The selected finalist will be expected to develop a diverse, externally funded research portfolio.
 
Required Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree in an appropriate field from an accredited institution;
  • Demonstrated effective teaching of courses similar to those within the department; and
  • Demonstrated leadership in externally funded research.  

 
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Applicants should have a promising research record with a deep knowledge of and interest in computational science, particularly in the fields of modeling, simulation, and high-performance computing; and
  • A candidate with a broad background in inter-related disciplines in computational science, computational social science, and data science is desired.
