Temporary Veterinary Research Associate
The Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a Temporary Research Support Associate to support clinical research activities through data collection, record review, and study coordination. This position combines analytical and clinical responsibilities, including collecting and interpreting medical data, communicating with clients, and providing hands-on care for animals enrolled in clinical trials.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Collecting and interpreting data from medical records and client communications.
- Performing data entry, organization, validation, and quality assurance for research datasets.
- Conducting basic statistical analyses and preparing research data for reporting.
- Examining cats enrolled in clinical trials, obtaining and interpreting laboratory samples, administering injections, and documenting findings as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or equivalent
- Ability to accurately interpret veterinary medical records and clinical data.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with clients and research team members.
- Experience with clinical research, data management, or statistical analysis is preferred.
- Employees working in the lab must receive the pre-exposure rabies prophylaxis vaccination series prior to or immediately after hire, which will be paid for by the department.
Position Details
- This is a 6 month part-time position offering 10 hours per week
- The anticipated pay rate will be $50/hr
- This position is not eligible for Cornell benefits
- This is an onsite position located in Ithaca, NY
- We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position
- Relocation assistance will not be provided
