Temporary Summer 2024 Teaching Assistant

Job Type: PartTime

Duties may include but are not limited to: 
Duties will vary depending on the class specified. 
- Hold regular office hours, so that TA can work closely with students to help them develop better Web, research, and writing skills. 
- Be available for students outside of regular office hours for consultation.

- Offer Recitation Sessions for students (both synchronous and asynchronous)
- Help maintain the class Web site.
 

Additional duties may include correcting tests, homework assignments, and reports; recording grades; preparing handouts for distribution; finding articles, videos, and other resources for class; preparing class materials.
Qualifications:
Must have: 

- Previously taken and demonstrated understanding of the course(s) (or in its close equivalent at another college or university); 

- Excellent interpersonal skills and an interest in learning how to teach. 

- Ability to effectively connect with a variety of learning styles. 

- Previous experience as a TA is strongly preferred.

Rate: Starting at $17 per hour based on experience
