The Senior Learning Designer specializes in the design, development, and support of online courses specifically for an online Hebrew program, with a focus on leveraging tools such as H5P or other relevant software programs to create multimedia learning objects. This role is dedicated to enhancing the digital learning experience through innovative course design and effective digital pedagogy. The Learning Designer offers comprehensive support in online course design and development projects, including content creation, integration of interactive multimedia elements, and the overall production process. Additionally, this position provides expert advice to faculty on instructional design methods and best practices for engaging online education. Working with the Associate Director, the Learning Designer coordinates stakeholder communications and project schedules, ensuring efficient workflow and project alignment with educational goals. Reporting to the Associate Director of Learning Design, this position plays a crucial role in advancing the online Hebrew program's educational mission.

This part-time position requires a commitment of 10-15 hours per week.

A significant portion of this project will involve the creation of multimedia learning objects. 

This position will be approximately 12 weeks.

Payment is $65.00 per hour.

Responsibilities:

- Provide expert learning design consultation and support for the development of online Hebrew program courses, emphasizing the integration of multimedia tools and software to enhance learning experiences.

- Assist faculty in creating effective course materials, including interactive courseware, multimedia elements, and assessments, ensuring alignment with course outcomes.

- Recommend and implement best practices for online course facilitation and student engagement.

- Manage course development projects, establishing timelines, milestones, and tracking progress to ensure timely completion.

- Consult on the selection and integration of external materials to support learning objectives, incorporating the latest educational technologies and industry insights.

- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project stakeholders, ensuring alignment with educational goals and timelines.

Qualifications:

- Master's degree in instructional design, instructional technology, education, or a related field.

- 5 to 10 years of experience in instructional design, instructional technology, or similar roles within a higher education environment.

- Proven expertise in supporting and managing online course design and development projects, with a preference for experience in online language program courses.

- Proficiency in multimedia development tools such as H5P and familiarity with Moodle LMS or similar platforms.

- Ability to manage multiple projects independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
