Description of Work

These positions require the ability to apply a basic knowledge of social/behavioral research principles and methods of data entry, collection, and analysis, such as that provided by undergraduate programs in fields such as psychology, education, sociology, or communication sciences and disorders, and a basic knowledge of statistics and information technology to collect and report data. Candidates must be organized, accurate, and efficient in observing, collecting, processing, and recording data within well-defined research protocols, and in reviewing data and information for completeness and accuracy. Excellent interpersonal skills are required, as well as good professional judgment in interpersonal interactions, ability to solve unexpected problems appropriately, and ability to work effectively with a team. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are required to collect and report project data. Ideal candidate has experience working with children with disabilities in school settings, and training teachers to implement behavior management strategies or other supporting classroom interventions. Candidates should have experience conducting assessments with children with disabilities in order to develop educational goals.

Education and Experience

Four-year degree or equivalent combination of training and experience necessary to perform the work.

Prefer candidates with a degree in Special Education. Previous experience in interacting with preschool and school-aged children with disabilities is required. Previous experience working directly with teachers and teaching teams, especially related to teacher training and support, is required. Previous experience with social science/behavioral research is preferred.
