The Institute for Behavioral Health seeks a temporary Research Assistant (RA) to provide data collection and analysis support for the WA Hub & Spoke 2nd Generation Study.

This is a temporary position through August 2024.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

The Research Assistant will work as part of a team to:

  • Working with Qualitative Lead, to execute project administrative tasks related to the qualitative work, including scheduling interviews.
  • Engage in quantitative (survey) and qualitative (interviews) data collection and analysis and contribute to manuscript and presentation preparation.
  • Contribute to quantitative analysis (e.g. SPSS). Experience with SPSS is preferred.
  • Conduct qualitative coding and analysis, experience with qualitative software preferred.
  • Attend weekly project meetings to record action steps, as requested.

Skills and Experience Requirements:

The candidate must have strong organizational and time-management skills, must be detailed oriented and focused. Must have ability to treat with dignity people who use drugs and people who are in recovery. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are necessary. Experience with qualitative data management and analysis skills or the interest in learning to obtain these skills is required. Training and mentoring available for candidate.
