CompuCamp 2023 Support Staff 
June 5, 2023 - July 14, 2023

With a mission to bridge the summer gap between school years, and to create a fun learning environment for children to explore and discover, CompuCamp offers an exceptional summer camp experience in and around the Greater Houston area. Hosted in several locations throughout Houston, classes are designed to make the summer both fun and educational for middle and high school-aged kids.

CompuCamp is designed to engage inquisitive minds, inspire creativity, encourage interactive learning, foster positive thinking, and build vitally important computer skills for our modern digital society. It takes a team of energetic, enthusiastic, dedicated, and responsible individuals to provide support and encouragement for all attendees.

JOB DUTIES

  • Checks students in/out; and monitors students during camp
  • Escorts children while on campus, and supervises during lunch hour
  • Represents CompuCamp to parents when communicating, especially pre-camp and post-camp communications with parents and guardians.Communication subjects include the campus layout, the child's attitude in class, and the course in general
  • Encourages the success of every student in the camp at large

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of trends, issues, and accepted practices relevant to the position 
  • Candidates must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse university community
  • Dependable, professional, and positive responsibilities
  • Prefer commitment of 4 consecutive weeks or more
  • Knowledge of the summer camp courses being offered
 

Qualifications

 
  • High school graduate, or equivalent

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Some college credits
