Job Summary:

The HR Coordinator plays a broad role within the University’s Talent Analytics and Projects team and provides direct support to the Employee Development and Engagement Specialist and central HR teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports F&A DEI Committee and University Resource Groups by coordinating meetings, researching and gathering information necessary for meetings, attending meetings and taking minutes, discussing strategy and tactics for the committees, and completing tasks related to both committees.
  • Adds, removes, and edits HR content on applicable sites such as the Intranet, HR website, HR Connect, and on other applicable sites.
  • Supports Engagement efforts by participating in some or all phases of Gallup survey activities with units across campus including project set up, survey deployment, addressing administrative issues during open surveys, supporting creation and delivery of post survey materials, and billing tracking.
  • Submits and processes financial administrative payments and journal transfers.
  • Works with the Talent Management team on Getting to Know UChicago new hire staff orientation activities including updating content, scheduling LMS sessions, supporting survey administration, sharing out survey data, reporting on attendance trends, and providing feedback from participants.
  • Provides project leadership, management, and support to other Human Resources Centers of Expertise.
  • May help counsel employees on benefits and compensation. Coordinates with managers and senior colleagues to determine employee compensation.
  • Analyzes data and prepares charts, graphs, and trend lines for management review with a moderate to high level of guidance.
  • Performs other related work as needed.

Additional Requirements ​​
 

Education, Experience or Certifications:

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

Experience:

  • Experience in human resources preferred.
  • Experience in a university, clinical or a not-for-profit organization preferred.

Technical Knowledge or Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills and excellent computer skills including advanced Microsoft Office Suite.
