Job Description

The University of Nevada, Reno Extension is recruiting for a part-time, temporary hourly position to help support the 4-H program in Douglas County. This position is located in Gardnerville, Nevada. This position will help manage the adult volunteers and youth members in 4-H Online, create marketing and promotion material as needed, organize 4-H events/meetings/classes, collect data, prepare reports, and maintain a budget and supply inventory for the program.

Required Qualifications

Graduation from high school or equivalent education and related work experience in areas such as agriculture, horticulture, community development, health and nutrition, human and family development, and natural resources in urban and rural areas.

Valid driver’s license

Successful background/fingerprint check

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with experience in Youth Development/4-H programs and working with volunteers are encouraged to apply.

Candidates with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are encouraged to apply.

Candidates with the ability to work professionally and effectively with diverse individuals are encouraged to apply.

Schedule

This position has a variable schedule, Mon – Fri, 15-20 hours/week
