Founded in 1889, the University of Idaho is the state’s land grant university and is a comprehensive research institution with its main campus in Moscow. With a first year entering class of approximately 130 students, equally split between the two campuses, the University of Idaho College of Law is ranked as one of the “Best Value Law Schools” by Pre-Law Magazine. We emphasize quality over quantity, have an average enrollment of 350 students and operate both in Boise and Moscow. Position Summary
The University of Idaho College of Law seeks an entry-level or experienced faculty member interested in serving as a full-time, temporary faculty member for the Fall 2024 semester at the Moscow location to teach two courses a semester and contribute to the law school community through mentorship and advising activities. The College of Law is open to faculty members with different areas of expertise, with a special interest in the areas of negotiations/ADR, criminal law, and business law.

Qualifications


Minimum Education/Degree Required
A J.D. from an accredited school or the equivalent
Required Qualifications
  • a distinguished academic record
  • a record of excellence in teaching, or related experience.
  • a record of excellence in creating a safe, welcoming and dynamic learning environment of belonging for all students.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Post-J.D. practice, clerking, or teaching experience
  • status as a current, full-time faculty member at an ABA-approved law school or the equivalent
  • experience in the subject areas listed in the position summary.
