Position Description

J.B. Speed School of Engineering is seeking part time (20-25 hrs/week) temporary (up to one year) candidates for the position of Recruitment Coordinator in the Office of Career Development and Co-operative Education (co-op). This position will provide customer service to students as well as assisting in building and maintaining relationships with employers by updating employer databases, posting jobs and assisting with interview scheduling. This position is expected to aid with the placement of co-op students by assisting the co-op coordinators and co-op students.

Essential Duties

  • Provide customer service by: Greeting and directing students and employers as they enter the office, preparing for interview days, creating and publishing interview schedules in our software system and identifying a host for each schedul. Provide a high level of customer service and responding to phone and email inquiries.
  • Assist in Employer Relations operations by: Coordinating and printing interview schedules and resumes, assisting with employer information sessions, develop expertise with career services management software and Assist with job postings and approvals.
    • Assist with Event Planning by Participating in the planning and implementing of programs throughout the year, providing logistical support for all programs and career events, collaborating with all departmental staff to host career fairs, information sessions and other events.
  • A preferred candidate would also have the ability to maintain relations with existing employer sponsors and develop new employer sponsors to hire our co-op students.
