Bachelor's degree. Computer experience with all Microsoft Office software products, experienced in use of various types of technology, scheduling software and virtual meeting platforms. 

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree and experience with conference/event planning. 

Position Description

The Trager Institute is seeking a Temporary Conference Assistant who will help with the planning and implementation of the annual Optimal Aging Conference. Expertise in organization, attention to detail, communication and professionalism expected at all times. Skills needed for the position include strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with staff at all levels, excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to schedule, handle multiple tasks and complete all work on time and in an accurate manner, meticulous attention to detail, skilled in use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook), adaptability and willingness to accept new responsibilities and learn new skills and history of good attendance, punctuality, ability to work well with others, maintain confidentiality, and professional demeanor in an office environment. Responsibilities include: plan, coordinate, execute and evaluate multiple events, potentially for both in-person and digital platforms; collaborate with marketing team as necessary for social media posts, messaging, etc., assist in completion of minutes of meetings in a timely and accurate manner as requested by supervisor, assist as needed in scheduling appointments, meetings and scheduling with faculty and staff of Institute, become trained and help to facilitate the use of digital conference platform to be used for an annual conference and training, assist in researching purchases and obtain necessary information for orders to be placed for events, communicate effectively with all staff, faculty, visitors and outside stakeholders with the use of written correspondence and verbal interaction, and complete other duties as assigned by supervisor to support work in the office and events.
