The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Full Time Temporary Chemistry Researcher on the Dahlonega campus. The candidate will be working in an organic chemistry lab synthesizing potential antibiotic compounds. No experience working in a lab is required, but you must have successfully completed at least organic chemistry 1 (CHEM 3441) and organic chemistry 1 lab (CHEM 3441L). You will be trained in how to set-up reactions, purification techniques, and instrumentation.

  • Set-up reactions.
  • Purify crude reaction mixtures.
  • Characterize organic compounds using NMR spectroscopy and other methods.
  • Clean glassware and lab area.
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Must have completed CHEM 3441 and CHEM 3441L.
