About the Opportunity
Northeastern University's Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowship Program is a two-year fellowship designed to advance the education and training of recent Pharm.D. graduates in various areas of industry pharmacy including regulatory affairs, medical information/affairs, health economics and outcomes research, and many other areas. The program is a collaboration between Northeastern University and biopharmaceutical industry partners.
The Temporary Budget Coordinator is a grant-funded position, responsible for financial elements of the Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowship Program. This position will manage multiple budgets, reimbursement requests, and regularly audit program expenditures.
Responsibilities include:

  • Processing reimbursement requests.
  • Auditing expense trackers monthly and reviewing outcomes with the Fellowship team.
  • Reviewing fellowship annual invoices in collaboration with NU-Res.
  • Ensuring all reimbursement requests align with Northeastern University policies, fellowship contractual obligations, and stakeholder guidelines.
  • Working closely with the fellowship team to facilitate reimbursement requests for faculty, fellows, and individuals external to the organization
  • Work on projects as assigned by the Fellowship Program Manager and Coordinator.

A minimum of two years of related experience in finance administration; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Additional Qualifications Include:
  • Working knowledge of basic financial and accounting principles
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Teams, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Share Point, Concur
  • Proven record of providing exceptional customer service to multiple, diverse stakeholders
  • Outstanding planning, time management and organizational skills with ability to handle multiple priorities with efficiency
  • Ability to work fluidly with spreadsheet software.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills, ability to be resourceful and to work independently
  • Flexibility and ability to work fluidly in a team-oriented environment
