The temporary Student Services Administrative Assistant staffs the on-stop centralized space and answers students' questions through email, in-person, text and other virtual platforms, and monitors & coordinates the Teamwork Desk inboxes. The ultimate goal with this position is to be a first point of contact to assist all students with their college administrative needs by coordinating contact with the above offices to provide a more efficient way to resolve the students' questions/concerns. Additionally, this role will serve as administrative support for the Enrollment Management division including event coordination.
This position is based on the San Francisco campus as onsite support. This is a temporary 30 hour position with an anticipated end date of April 2022.
Provides excellent/professional customer service in serving students by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately when students are seeking support and questions answered
Monitors internal systems: Workday, Teamwork Desk and Project, Youcanbook.me, zoom and text platforms.
Supports the Admissions department in coordinating daily and weekly on-campus and virtual appointments
Provides baseline support to team members during vacation or busy periods
Works with public safety to welcome and direct guests to proper locations/person
Maintains the Student Services Office space and orders office supplies when needed
Provides administrative support to Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions recruitment and enrollment efforts (virtually & in-person) through managing event systems, visit calendars, email responses and setting up zoom links
Assembles and ship travel boxes and other recruitment packets to support counselors recruitment and enrollment efforts
Qualifications1-2 years of customer service experience in providing event coordination and/or program support, preferred in public administration, education, arts administration, cultural arts, or similar environment.
Communication and critical thinking skills, being able to articulate in front of high stakeholders
Able to provide professional and good customer service
Computer proficiency is required.
Must know general office management and fundamental processing of administrative details.
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills; strict attention to detail; ability to work successfully in a team environment with diverse individuals, including staff, student, faculty and the public. Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple tasks, assimilate details about the range of Enrollment Management’s programs, activities and services, and apply them effectively is essential.
Experience in a college admissions office is helpful
