Position Details:

The Research Assistant will support a year-long project awarded by the Andrew Carnegie Corporation of New York entitled “Infant Mortality, Race, and the American Roots of a Health Inequality.”

The Research Assistant will assist with various high level projects including to conduct research in historical databases; locate, review and organize data from various sources; and write topical research briefs. Additionally, the student may assist in planning a Spring 2023 symposium and perform other responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will have prior research experience including searching in historical databases; familiarity with citation protocols; ability to analyze data; excellent organizational and writing skills; rigorous attention to detail and accuracy; and ability to work independently.
