Glimpse of the Job

The Telesimulation Program Manager oversees the CLRC's Telesimulation Program in Fort Worth, Texas, managing its growth, development, and standardization. Responsibilities include supervising customer relations, recruitment, training, and scheduling standardized patients for events. The role involves materials development, efficiency implementation, and logistical oversight. Collaboration with stakeholders, maintaining a case database, and ensuring effective communication are key aspects. The manager supports departmental leadership in initiatives and planning, emphasizing participant safety and customer relationship alignment with TAMU core values. Timely completion of administrative tasks, financial responsibilities, and active participation in quality assurance initiatives are essential. The role also includes travel, presentations, and maintaining a proactive approach to program management.


The ideal candidate should possess knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, Zoom, and learning management software. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential, along with interpersonal, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational abilities. The ability to maintain attention to detail, exercise sound judgment, multitask, collaborate effectively, handle sensitive information confidentially are also required for the role.

The Clinical Learning Resource Center (CLRC) trains and educates students and provides state of the art facilities and personnel to prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an education or healthcare related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 5 years of experience in clinical simulation, instructional design, or related areas

  • Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) must be obtained within 36 months of hire

Some of the responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Oversees the recruitment of new Standardized Patient's (SPs) to include developing recruitment material, conducting interviews/auditions, and assisting the SP Coordinator with vendor onboarding protocols.

  • Supervises Telesimulation staff.

  • Recruits and trains SPs through the SP curriculum and SP certification procedures.

  • Ensures that SPs are appropriately managed including being responsible for the overall quality of casting, coordinating schedules and communications with SPs for simulations.

  • Develops and monitors quality assurance and quality improvement performance standards that are in accordance with the service line policies and case standards concerning role portrayal, student assessment, and appropriateness of feedback to students.

  • Assists other service lines by collaborating and supporting all aspects of case portrayal, checklist item recognition, physical exam procedures, and exam operations for all case presentations. Provides advanced training and remediation on specified physical examinations.

  • Works with TAM HSC faculty, external customer and other CLRC staff to prepare and update materials for each standardized learner encounter, such as assignments, scenarios, checklists, handouts, evaluations, schedules, and room assignments.

  • Creates and implements efficiencies to improve SP sessions and program coordination.

  • Collaborates with CLRC leadership on operational processes for the CLRC Fort Worth site.

  • Maintains effective communication with staff, vendors, faculty, and students associated with SP Program activities.

Salary Range: Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire’s experience.

Other Requirements and Factors - This is an in-person (non-virtual) position. This position is security sensitive. This position requires occasional work beyond normal work hours. This position requires travel (up to 25%) to include overnight stays to support the service line as needed. This position requires compliance with TAMUS/Texas A&M Health Science Center and CLRC Policies and Procedures. All tasks and job responsibilities must be performed safely without injury to self or others in compliance with System and Agency safety requirements.
