POSITION SUMMARY:
The Telephone Interviewer/ Research Assistant I is responsible for securing the cooperation of contacted individuals to participate in various telephone surveys, administer telephone surveys professionally and in a manner that adheres with scientific standards, and records survey responses into sophisticated survey software. Surveys are administered over the telephone with sampled individuals; this requires good oral communication skills in order to convey the importance of the research.- Essential Duties

- Follow supervisory staff instructions

- Accurate typing
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
- Personal computer and/or laptop
- Download survey software
- Download telecommunications software
- Download teleconferencing software
- Ability to function well in a stressful, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to promote and prioritize Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)
- Must be able to work remotely in California ONLY
- Minimum education: High school completion.
- Preferred education: Some college or enrollment in college.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Lifting of up to 25lbs; periodic bending; long-term periods of sitting; long term periods operating a computer
