Position Overview
The Telehealth Clinical Educator assists in the development and delivery of education about telehealth, including within the undergraduate and graduate curriculum, as well as for clinicians practicing in the community. Using market insights, co-leads development and delivery of a telehealth certificate program. Participates in strategic planning for the telehealth initiative, as well as the achievement of annual deliverables and outcomes. Collaborates with regional health systems and potential partners in the telehealth exploration and work. Serves as an important part of the telehealth team.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Participates in development and ongoing work of Telehealth initiative
2. Co-leads development, integration, and delivery of course content for telehealth curriculum for undergrad and graduate courses.
3. Participates in development of simulations or creation of educational modules regarding telehealth for various audiences.
4. Co-leads market analysis in defining content, structure and needs for telehealth certificate programming.
5. Leads the development of course content for telehealth certificate course for clinicians, using telehealth expertise and best practices in online education.
6. Collaborates with other University departments in the ongoing development and management of continuing education programming for telehealth.
7. Leads the process of securing and maintaining continuing education units for multiple clinical disciplines enrolling in certificate programming.
8. Collaborates with multiple external organizations in the work of the telehealth grant.
9. Works with dedicated telehealth Research Assistant in education, evaluation, research and partnerships.
10. Participates in communications regarding telehealth, including the Advisory Board.
11. Collaborates with others in the development and delivery of evaluation projects and research regarding telehealth.
12. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Minimum of master’s degree, to support development and management of projects, curriculum enhancement, course development, continuing education, online course delivery.
At least 5 years of clinical experience, including health care, telehealth, clinical education, online course delivery and development.
Excellent communication skills, verbal, written and digital.
Basic digital literacy.
Understands health care systems and care delivery.
Understands best practices in online education.
Understands telehealth for care delivery.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of health care delivery and clinical services.
Knowledge of telehealth best practices.
Experience in delivering care using telehealth.
Experience in teaching in higher education and professional development.
Knowledge of best practices in online course development, delivery and education.
Knowledge of project management skills, managing to a timeline and budget
