Job Description

The TEES Research Engineer I, under general direction, evaluates, selects, and applies engineering techniques used in routine research and development. Prepares reports, publications, and presentations.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates, selects, and applies standard techniques used in routine research and development.
  • Performs and reports professional level engineering assignments related to a particular field of research.
  • Selects and determines procedures in design, research, mapping, surveys, and investigations.
  • Makes and records observations and measurements. Compiles data.
  • Sets up and operates apparatuses or equipment.
  • Inspects construction/assembly to ensure conformity to project specifications.
  • Collects and/or analyzes samples.
  • Conducts directed phases of research and development projects.
  • Prepares or assists in the preparation of reports and other publications.
  • Presents or assists in the presentation of research results at technical meetings or other venues.
  • Conducts specific phases of research and/or engineering projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Experience:

  • No prior experience required.
