Minimum Requirements:

Position Description:

Lead and support Brandeis School of Law's faculty, staff, and student use of technology in in-person, online and hybrid spaces.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Instructional Spaces: Support the use of all classroom, courtroom, and conference room presentation technologies through regular maintenance, user training, and troubleshooting; coordinate as needed with University colleagues and relevant vendors; manage equipment life cycles and replacements.
  • Exam Administration: Manage all aspects of students' use of computers on exams, including regular acquisition of licensed exam software, annual training of first-year students in use of exam software and related policies and procedures, training and support of Academic Affairs and Law Resource Center staff in exam administration, on-site and remote student support during exam periods, and recommending policy changes as needed.
  • Event Technologies: Support the use of stationary and portable audiovisual presentation technologies for official School of Law events, including transporting, setting up and breaking down equipment; provide user training and support; coordinate with outside venues and vendors as needed; coordinate as needed with Communications and Marketing personnel; manage equipment life cycles and replacements.
  • First Tier Support and Administration: Coordinates with the Director of Instructional Technology to purchase tech as needed for employee onboarding, or coordinates with other departments for technology needs and recommendations. Deploys new technology as acquired to faculty, staff, classrooms, and clinical spaces as needed. Follows University policy in ensuring all new computing devices are added to active directory in the correct organization unit(s), manages group policies for law computing devices.
  • Learning Management System: Serve as first-tier support for faculty, staff, and students using University's official online learning management system (LMS); provide regular training for full- and part-time faculty in use of LMS's synchronous and asynchronous teaching and learning tools; collaborate with University Delphi Center for Teaching and Learning to provide communication and support regarding system maintenance, updates, improvements, best practices and troubleshooting; train and support School of Law clerical staff assisting faculty with regular administrative routines, such as uploading syllabi, distributing course materials, checking for plagiarism and other, similar tasks.
  • Perform other related duties, such as committee service and project management, as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional or Educational Technology, Education or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience with online learning management systems.
  • Experience with academic or corporate e-learning systems.
  • Experience and/or training in audio/video technologies.
  • Experience administering educational technology software.
  • Customer service or technical support experience
  • Competence with Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Competence with Microsoft AD as Tier 1 Support
  • Competence with popular web browsers
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite applications.
  • Basic competence editing HTML and CSS

Target Compensation Maximum:

$61,200.00

Target Compensation Minimum:

$40,800.00

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
