Position Summary Information


Job Description Summary:
The most integral part of this position is responsibility as you will be working side by side with the professional staff to provide support to faculty and staff throughout the university. You will learn how to shoot video with top quality cameras that are used in the professional field and edit video using Final Cut Pro – tech proficiency is good to have but we do have an excellent training program so long as you are willing to learn. We do shoots all over campus and cover events almost daily, it is a true production shop atmosphere with very quick turnarounds. It is a position that entails a great deal of responsibility but offers great opportunities for both learning and future job placement. This job will also require scanning, typing, and moderate clerical work.
Requirements:
  • Must be familiar with Google Docs and Spreadsheets (Excel, Pages etc). 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams 
  • Must be responsible and be able to provide references.
Additional Information:
  • Experience with camera equipment and or sound equipment, digital editing experience (FCPX or Premiere), and adobe CC Suite experience helpful.
Physical Demands Summary:
  • Lifting of camera equipment up to 50 lbs. 
  • Walking from the Technical Services Building to all ends of campus for shoots and meetings. 
  • Be able to stand for long stretches in order to record.
Wage Rate: $10.00 per hour
