Position Summary

The College of Dental Medicine is seeking a Technician A to join our team in a full-time position to work within the Division of Periodontics, reporting to Dr. Yiping Han, Professor of Microbial Sciences. Incumbents should demonstrate drive, excellent scientific vigor, critical thinking, written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.


Responsibilities

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Organization of the lab
  • Maintain laboratory equipment
  • Hands-on experimentation to study host-pathogen interactions in human diseases
  • Participation in literature study and manuscript writing.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Two years of college or a completed A.A program with an emphasis in chemistry, biology, or physics.
  • One year of related experience, or equivalent in education, training, and/ or experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, physics, or related science and laboratory experience outside of undergraduate laboratory coursework.
  • Prior wet-lab experience
