Job Summary
The Technical Project Lead will engage with industry partners, students, and equipment manufacturers to develop expertise in operation of a range of manufacturing equipment (such as plastic injection molding, precision machining, additive manufacturing, casting, etc.) in support of industry-funded projects through CSU’s Entrepreneurial Manufacturer Digitization Support (EMDiS) center. In addition, the Technical Project Lead will develop hands-on training that complement existing and future degree programs at CSU and that align with industry-accepted credentials in smart manufacturing.
Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in preferably in Engineering or related field
· Two years’ work experience in a manufacturing setting and direct work with machine tools (design and/or operation).
Preferred Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree preferably in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering or related field.
· Experience with both design and operation of a range of machining and manufacturing equipment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
· Working knowledge of Industry 4.0/smart factories, including IoT, data acquisition, machine learning, data analytics, and automation in a plant-manufacturing environment.
· Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
· Competency in a range of machining and manufacturing processes as well as design software and machinery monitoring platforms.
· Must have PC experience (including word processing and spreadsheet experience).
