TECHNICAL ASSOCIATE I, McGovern Institute for Brain Research (2 openings), to work with Dr. Ev Fedorenko . Will assist with research on the cognitive and neural basis of language. Responsibilities include assisting with all aspects of research, including designing, programming, and conducting behavioral, fMRI, and MEG experiments; analyzing behavioral, fMRI, MEG, and ECoG data; updating the lab website; implementing and maintaining analysis software; providing technical support for lab personnel; and performing some basic administrative duties.

The position is ideal for individuals considering future graduate study in cognitive science or neuroscience.  


Job Requirements
REQUIRED:  a bachelor's degree in cognitive science, neuroscience, computer science, engineering, psychology, physics, or math; two years of experience; strong math, statistics, and computer skills (e.g., MATLAB, Python, shell scripting); programming experience; and Mac and Windows troubleshooting skills and solid knowledge of the Linux/UNIX environment (data server is Linux).  Seek an organized, self-motivated, and independent individual who can multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment and work as part of a team.  PREFERRED:  evidence of interest in a career in cognitive neuroscience; Experience conducting and/or analyzing fMRI/MEG/ECoG experiments.  Job #22322
