This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides technical support. Responsibilities may include computer programming or operations; research support; medical patient care; technical equipment maintenance, repair, fabrication or operation; or other technical support functions.

At TART at MSU, we are seeking a dedicated and innovative part-time dependable systems researcher to join our project causal analysis of cyber-physical and biological systems. This role involves designing and implementing advanced algorithms to identify causal effect of observations and predict causes of failures in these systems. As a researcher, you will be at the forefront of combining artificial intelligence with formal reasoning to revolutionize how causal systems are built and operate. You will collaborate with a team of experts in formal reasoning, biology, and medical sciences.

Duties: Conducting research in the area of probabilistic causality with application in cyber-physical systems, biology, and medical sciences. The successful applicant will work with the members of the TART research group at MSU.

Bachelor or Master’s in Computer Science with background in theoretical computer science and expertise in discrete math.
