JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Pennsylvania State University Department of Chemistry is seeking to fill a position at the rank of Teaching Professor in the field of Chemical Education Research. Responsibilities will include establishing a chemical education research program within the department and engaging with the Center for Excellence in Science Education .

This position will also teach general chemistry courses and other courses as needed.

The position will begin in the fall semester of 2024. 

Education and Experience

Competitive applicants should have a Ph.D. in chemistry or related field and several years of college-level teaching. Additionally, a proven track-record in the field of chemical education research is required.

Additional Information

This is a term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of renewal.
