| Job Details | Teaching Associate of Educational Foundations The CAEP accredited Spadoni College of Education and Social Sciences at Coastal Carolina University, in Conway, South Carolina invites applications for a Teaching Associate position in Educational Foundations beginning August 2024. The department seeks an individual with the credentials to teach one or two sections of EDUC 111 – Exploring Teaching as a Profession, meeting on campus Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:25-10:40 AM or 10:50-12:05 PM. All course instructional materials and assessments have been developed to address key topics relevant for pre-service PK-12 teachers, including pathways to licensure, curriculum design, instructional strategies, classroom management, and social, ethical, and legal issues. A master’s degree in education from an accredited college/school of education is required. Current or prior licensure and teaching experience in a PK-12 discipline is also required. Preferred qualifications include experience teaching educational foundations to undergraduate college students as well as enthusiasm for teaching excellence, student mentoring, and instructional innovation.
