The Software and Societal Systems Department (S3D) is seeking to hire a Teaching Assistant for their Master of Software Engineering Program. This will be for their Software Architecture: MSE-SS & ES course (17-635-mini-3) and for their Quality Management (17-643-mini 4). Primary task will be to support the faculty in grading assignments and supporting team projects; hold office hours if needed, proctor exams, and grade assignments and project submissions in collaboration with the instructors and meet with the instructors as needed. You must be prepared to attend course lectures.

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Assist Faculty with classroom instruction, exams, record keeping and other miscellaneous projects.
  • Obtain materials needed for classes, including texts and other materials.
  • Prepare presentations for lectures.
  • Hand out assignments and grade papers and exams
  • Must have taken or have been a student Teaching Assistant for this course.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree in Software Engineering preferred.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and reason skills, analytical skills, and communication skills.
