Summary of Job Duties:
The Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track Teaching Assistant/Associate Professor (open rank) of Finance position which begins in the Fall 2024 semester. The employee is expected to teach courses at undergraduate and graduate levels, primarily focused on financial data analytics, financial technology and investments at the Department of Finance, with a teaching load of 12 credit hours (4 courses) per fall and spring semester. Participation in academic research and service duties are expected as well.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Finance from an AACSB accredited university conferred by the start of employment

• Demonstrated excellence in teaching finance courses

• Advanced skills, training, or certifications in financial data analytics and machine learning

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Established research publication record in peer-reviewed finance journals

• At least three years of experience in teaching finance courses

• Experience and willingness to teach in areas of finance other than financial data analytics, financial technology and investments
