Job Title:  Teacher Education - Elementary Education Math Methods - Adjunct Instructor

Classification:  Adjunct Faculty

Required Degree

Bachelor or Master's degree from an accredited university with a mathematics teaching background. Preference will be given to candidates with a degree in elementary education.

Required degree must be completed by the start date.

Experience:   

Expertise in planning, instruction, and assessment of K-12 mathematics; successful experience as a public school teacher for a minimum of three years (elementary experience preferred); expertise in using and applying appropriate computer-centered technologies to teaching and learning.

Expectations:

  • Teach Elementary Education Math methods course (El Ed 447)
  • Ensure course outcomes meet national and state accreditation requirements.
  • Meet appropriate dress and conduct standards as required by the University.
  • Communicate program components and university expectations to students.
  • Build trusting relationships with school personnel, university faculty members, and BYU students.
