Position Summary:
The Talent Development Coordinator plays a vital role in designing and delivering comprehensive training and development programs for Villanova staff, and provides support for the function through a variety of administrative, technical, and creative responsibilities. Works closely with the Director of Talent Development to plan and design in-person and online learning events, and is responsible for the logistics of delivering those events. Responsible for day-to-day upkeep of learning management system for staff training (currently Bridge LMS), which includes answering questions about trainings and troubleshooting obstacles to access. . Assists in creating and editing training content, tracks registration and evaluation of online and live modules, certifies attendance or module completion, and performs other record-keeping duties. Conducts benchmarking research and preliminary research of vendors and other subject-matter resources. Has primary responsibility for coordinating logistics for Human Resources-sponsored onboarding events, such as the weekly new employee orientation and twice-yearly New Staff Welcome events, and back-up support for later HR-sponsored events. Manages talent development-related content Human Resources webpage. Serves as tertiary back-up for the department front desk.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • In-Person Training Events: Collaborate with Director of Talent Development to strategize, design, organize and schedule in-person training events for Villanova staff and people-managers; coordinate logistics for in-person training events including written communications, presenters, catering, room set-up, and materials; monitor and maintain records of staff participation in in-person training events.
  • Online Learning Management: Contribute to development of online learning modules for staff; participate in creation of new online learning content; manage Villanova’s employee learning management system (LMS) to optimize training delivery and troubleshoot problems as they arise; monitor and report on records of staff participation in online training modules; updates and maintains employee training data.
  • Event Planning: Coordinate speakers, catering, room set-up, and materials for Human Resources onboarding events, including weekly new employee orientation and twice-yearly New Staff Welcome Event; serve as back-up for other Human Resources events.
  • Budget and Data Management: Work closely with Director of Talent Development to monitor training and development budget to ensure continuous growth of Villanova’s talent development function; utilize survey data from training participants to continuously improve design and delivery of training content and programs.
  • Maintain and regularly update Talent Development section of Villanova Human Resources website and other online development resources.
  • Professional Development Research: Identify and research resources (books, articles, etc.) for possible future use in staff training and development programs and for own professional development.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, or degree or certification from relevant vocational, business or associate’s program, strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:
Ability to work at a computer station, lift and carry up to 15 pounds, cover a reception desk, and travel to other buildings on campus.
