Job Summary/Basic Function: |
- Collaborate with department hiring managers to understand their student-worker staffing needs:
- Assist in developing job descriptions and posting internal student worker positions:
- Coordinate the recruitment process, including working with departments in scheduling interviews and assessments:
- Review applications and resumes to identify qualified candidates:
- Assist in conducting initial phone screens or interviews:
- Provide feedback to hiring managers to help them make informed hiring decisions:
- Coordinate with Financial Aid to ensure applicants are following the process to determine FASFA status and identify if position is eligible for Federal Work-Study:
- Ensure all hiring practices adhere to college policies and legal requirements:
- Maintain accurate and organized records of the hiring process:
- Assist with onboarding and orientation for new student workers:
- Foster positive working relationships with college departments to understand their unique hiring needs:
- Act as a liaison between hiring managers, candidates, and the Human Resources department:
- Participate in college events and job fairs to promote student worker opportunities:
- Assist Human Resources Coordinator in talent acquisition process and implement improvements to the student-worker hiring process and overall talent acquisition process:
- Provide suggestions for enhancing the overall hiring experience at Brazosport College.

Minimum Qualifications: |
- Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience):
- Previous experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, or human resources:
- Familiarity with student-worker hiring processes and regulations in an educational institution is a plus:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills:
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities:
The Part-Time Human Resources Talent Acquisition Specialist will work 19 hours per week, with a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the college and hiring departments.
