Systems Specialist I, Accounting Systems
Accounting Office
Location:  New Orleans, LA
Summary
Supports the overall ongoing operational activities of the TAMS General Ledger, including maintaining the Chart of Accounts and its related attributes, rules, and aliases, etc.; as well as primary responsibility for all aspects of TAMS General Ledger user security. Designs and maintains the TAMS on-line forms and web pages. Assists with development of Data Store reports, particularly in the area of user security in the Data Store product. Assists with reconciliation between TAMS General Ledger and other systems, creating journal entries to record this activity where appropriate
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with university accounting requirements
Required Education and/or Experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Three years’ general accounting experience
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Three years’ Oracle Applications experience.
Compensation Information
This position is classified as "non-exempt, hourly" and is assigned to pay grade 24.
